No one wants to be in that situation where we see a loved one sick, scared, in pain and of course leaving us.
My daughter was my support and strength last year when I went through treatment, I'm not sure how I would've got through without her. She showed amazing strength and I knew I could ask her to help and she wouldn't even ask how, she'd just get in there and do it.
I am so sorry that you're going through this with your mum and that she has had such a devastating diagnosis.
To those well meaning and not so well meaning visitors - this isn't about you. It's about a famiy being there for their mum, laughing, crying and all the other emotions that come with saying goodbye. I'm sure you're sad but think of the immediate family. Ask if there is any practical things that can be done, don't keep bombarding them with useless information and questions.
