I found my cancer in my left breast in October, only 7 months after having a mammogram & ultrasound & getting the all clear. The lump was 2cm in diameter & there were cancer cells outside the lump as well. Being 47 when I found the cancer, maybe there is something in it being more agressive when you're under 50, though I haven't been told that.
It's great news that your kid's schools are so supportive & caring.
