Hi,
'One specialist said that in women under 50 who get breast cancer, usually the cancer is aggressive'.
I've not heard that statement before, from anyone - I wonder if anybody else on this site can clarify that. It seems strange to me (I was 56 when diagnosed so obviously a medico wouldnt say that to me) - but I have read other posts and spoken with other younger women and have never been told that?????
It seems to be the 'luck of the draw' as to how far our cancers have spread. No rhyme or reason as to why others have secondaries! My initial diagnosis was advanced bc with widespread bony mets (I didnt even know I had it - no symptoms except for a couple of lumps on my back!)
I wish you well on your journey, and rest assured the doc's will give you all the treatment you need - the agressive treatment really 'aint that bad'. We cope with it because we have too, we have no other option - if we want to live.
Good luck
Di :)
