Cost of Oncotype dx test

Looking at forms for testing for oncotype test taken me 3 weeks to deceide if I should do it.
Costing $5000 Australian $ which I knew but reading does not include hospital or pathology where tissue is stored anyone been charged more than $5000.

  • Thank you. I made it through chemo & radiation & it’s all recovery now. We’re stronger than we realise even though it doesn’t feel like it at the time Sending you positive energy in hope you receive better news ❤️ 
  • Sorry to hear that hope it's all going OK.
    I'm stage 1 grade 3 paid and sent off for test praying and everything crossed a low score x
  • I was stage 2, grade 2. My Oncologists didn’t expect my results, unfortunately my recurrence rate/score came back higher than expected. 
  • Hi @Pommy8 , I paid exactly $5000….and still needed chemo… 
    I didn’t have to pay any additional costs re hospital/pathology. I am a public patient and the hospital arranged the blood work/tissue and results received within 2 weeks. 
  • My EndoPredict test cost $3000 total, through Clinical Labs, via a public hospital (as in the public hospital had my tumour stored after my mastectomy and sent some of it off for further testing).
