It is normal for them to send the scans to your surgeon as that is the doctor who would have requested them. Your onc should be part of the team of doctors looking after you. This may also include a radiation oncologist if you are having radiation and your own GP.
All these doctors should share information such as the scans so your oncologist should have the results when you see him/her. The waiting is the hardest part. Just keep doing what you can to help yourself. Rest, eat well and exercise and then do whatever you can to distract yourself. Take care. Deanne xxx
