A breast Surgeon is a specialist who is more aware of Breast related concerns...
it is like if you have a tooth ache you don't see the GP you see the dentist as they are trained in dealing with teeth, your GP might organise antibiotics but a dentist would decide if the tooth has other problems etc.
you have a right to see a breast surgeon for a 2nd opinion from what you have said.
