Hi there -
I had high grade extensive DCIS - based on the size I had mastectomy -
I also had sentinal node biopsy.
ER / PR +
Further treatment often depends on if they can get clear margins on lumpectomy -
Because I had no clear margins after 30 x70 x 50 mm lumpectomy - further excision was not really an option -
Sentinal node biopsy was also in relation to size...
I am on tamoxifen as I am er+
Her testing is not applicable for dcis
If you are unsure ask the question and don't stop asking until you are sure
