Compression sleeve

Hi There,

I had an axillary clearance with my surgery and got a compression sleeve at the time because I was going to go on a long trip.

This ended up not happening and I did not use the sleeve at all because I heard how uncomfortable they were and I didn't think I needed it as I had no swelling although I get constant pain in the arm.

I developed tennis elbow and other elbow pain in that arm about 2 years after the surgery and after checking with the lymph physio I could use an  tennis elbow armband short term only due to the lymphodema risk.

That arm aches a lot and I have learnt to put up with it.  Worse after exercise, housework or extended period on the computer.

However, I had to don the sleeve last week due to some Lymphodema going on and it has really helped with the elbow joint pain and the general ache in my arm.

I just wanted to encourage anyone in the same situation to look at using the sleeve, because it has been wonderful. It is not that hard to put on and aside from the circulation it has really assisted with the pain I thought I would just have to put up with for the rest of my life.

I hope this helps someone else.
