coming to terms

It is now 6 weeks since i was first told i had breast cancer, in that time i have 2 operations and am slowly coming to terms with the year ahead of me.

At first i was told i would need an operation to remove the lump and radiation to the right breast. After the first operation there was good and bad news, the good was that it had not spread to any lymph nodes, the bad was they had not gotten clear margins which meant i had to go back for a second operation. It also meant that chemo was now on the agenda.

The second operation has been and gone and i am recovering nicely, next step is the chemo.

    Thanks for the reply Jennywren, good to hear your scans were all clear. Good luck tomorrow with your first cycle as yet i am not sure when mine start, go back to the surgeon on Thursday. 

    I do hope that everything goes according to plan for you, and thank you so much for replying it is nice to hear from someone who is going through the same kind of things.
