Colouring hair post treatment

Well I've finally reached the end of my chemo and radiation treatments. It was a long haul but I made it. :-) I finished my last round of chemo early December. My hair is JUST starting to grow back. More like a soft fuzz really. It seems to be growing back very grey - more than I can remember having before - lol I was wondering if any of you ladies can recommend a wash in/wash out colour that is ammonia free, that I can use at home. I didn't really think the expense of going to the hairdressers to get it coloured, would be worthwhile while my hair is still so short. Would appreciate any advice anyone could give. Linda

  • Leave in mousse products can be enough to tone hair. There are a few mousses that you put in then wash out lasting a few washes. Sometimes still worth doing a skin test in case of a reaction. Hope you find something Deb
  • I asked the same question I wanted to no how long to wait. I finidhed my chemo 2nd nov then had 6 weeks radiothergy my hair came back white and gray then dark brown and it looked funny so I put a wash out colour live last for 8w washs. I brought chocolate put it in my girls think its funny cause it made my hair ginger think Ill try a different colour next time all the best Kerri
