Collagen powder

just wondering if anyone has tried collagen powder? I have just brought some hoping will help my nails and skin and some other side effects of tamoxifen,joint pain. I had hormone positive breast cancer but have read it should be okay still,as is plain collagen with nothing else in it, wondering if anyone else has had success with it?
