Cold Cap with TC protocol

I know everyone is different, just wanted to share that mum’s finding the cold cap effective. The first cycle it wasn’t fitted as well and she had some thinning of hair around the crown, but now 2 further cycles, both with a tighter fitting cap, and whilst the cold more intense with the better fit, she’s had no further hair loss.

In short, yes the cold is uncomfortable and can be intense, but if able to tolerate it and the extra 2hrs it adds to the chemo, mum’s experience is that it’s worth it so she can keep her hair. Not everyone will choose this or feel as strongly about the hair, but TC protocol, properly fitted it definitely appears to help.
