Hi there @TripleNegMama I was diagnosed triple neg may 2016. Grade 3 (3cm tumor)stage 2a left boob had a mastectomy on thst side so I only had to have 8 rounds of chemp and no rads (logistical nightmare) then I took the other one off as my guts told me too. All scans clear 8 nodes taken all clear. I’ve been cancer free for 2 years now and I’ve never been offered xeloda nor has it even been bought up with my oncol. Is it because I had the mastectomy and no rads or should I be asking about this at my next visit ? My oncol is really up to date with treatments and trials and I would of thought he would of told me about this drug if he thought I would benefit from it. I have had any post chemo meds at all.
And as for you love I’d definitely be getting a new referal to a new oncol. That is bullshit and your breast care nurse needs a kick up the arse. Where abouts are you? I’m brisbane north if that helps and can also suggest an awesome support group if you need it. Biggest hug. Margie xx
