Clear or Wait!!
Hello lovelies...after chemo & rad do you have any scans to check everything is clear? Or you just wait for the yearly mam? TIA xx
Hi Hendrix I did not have chemo only radio and no scans after that.Had a bone density and blood test for Vit D levels before starting hormone therapy.Next appointment is with Surgeon in November other than that just GP for 6 monthly Prolia injection to prevent bone fractures from hormone therapy .Seems to go a bit quiet after radio which I found a bit frightening then was time for me to look outwards for support eg here , local groups and courses. Have started a gentle exercise class too to help with joint pain. Basically scarily initially but back to life as not focussed daily on undergoing treatment. Oops forgot think the Breast surgeon organises scans/ tests as Breast Screen won't until 5 years of remission are up.
