Clear Margin Results

Well I received the Results re my second surgery...clear margins on all sides except one :( ... This side only has a 1mm margin where they want a 2mm one,  my specialist is consulting with a radio therapist to see if this will be ok as I will be having radium anyway and he would prefer not to have me back in for surgery number 3.  If surgery is a must it will be on the 8th Oct.  Will find out what they decide next week.

Have CT and bone scan appointment on Monday and oncologist appointment on Tuesday.

Off to a McGrath Foundation afternoon tea fundraiser tomorrow.  So looking foward to it and hoping heaps is raised to help these amazing ladies who I have found to be a great help and wonderful support In the last few weeks.

    Not nice to hear that you need more surgery, sounds like your treatment team are working hard to aim for a good outcome for you. It is frustrating the obstacles that you come across along the way. I hope that it goes well for you, and just keeping checking in with us for support. Sending you a big cuddle, Trace ????

    Hi Rene,

    wishing you all the best with this.  I will be interested to hear what your surgeon says.   Always fascinated by the differing opinions of surgeons. 

    I hope you it all goes well for you.  I can advise whatever they tell you, research some more until you are happy with the decision.
