Chia Seeds

Am having terrible side effects from Arimidex, so using google I came across Chia Seeds, went and bought some, 3 days later, I feel so much better.  Am now worried that it is making the Arimidex not work.  Onco had put off my appointment for another month - 4 months.  Was wondering if any other ladies have come across this supplement, and have got the ok to use whilst on Arimidex??

  • Thanks heaps, yes my onco is a bit blase about supplements.  If you could add this to your list for your sister that would be fantastic. There are so many benefits from these seeds that I hope they are not a problem.  This is exactly why this site is so good.

    Thanks

  • Wow I google a lot, but have not come across this site ever.  I have posted my question and will let you know on the results.  Yes there is so much good info on chia seeds, I have only been taking it for 3 days, joint and bone pain have lessened, also feel like I have more energy and better mood.  Can only put it down to the chia seeds as I have not changed anything else.

    Cheers

  • I have been eating chia seeds for ages.I don't know if they would have a negative effect with Arimidex, but I hardly think so.They are just a super healthy thing to eat.I sprinkle them on my cereal in the morning,I throw a handful in a fruit cake when I make it,and I put them in lots of other muffins and cupcakes too.I put them on yoghurt too.The have a lot of fibre in them, and are just super good for you. There is a lot of quality information on line about them, but even better, why don't you go on. www.iheard.com.au and ask the question about them. Its a web site that has the cancer council approval ,so people can msg a question to them, about this sort of thing, and they will get back to you with a factual answer.I would love to know what you find out.Cheers Robyn.xox
