Chemo Week Off

So this week was my chemo free week, I had in my mind a load of stuff I wanted to get done. I thought I would be zippy with energy! Hahahahahahah! Yeh that'll teach me! I've felt ok but tire easily though I am being good and not pushing myself. On another positive note, I went to the Look Good feel Good workshop at Rockingham hospital. It was really good and definitely worthwhile for me, it was good to meet with others in a similar situation and have a wee laugh. My wig also arrived this week, unfortunately when I tried it on I looked like I had a dead dog on my head...not the look I was going for! My daughter said I looked like Austin Powers, I'm hoping that if I get the fringe trimmed it might be ok. I've also booked wigs on wheels to come round on Tuesday, I'm fancying a blonde bob just because I can ( got to be some good things about this crappy illness!) I was back up at the breast. Linux today for a biopsy on the hitch hiker( as part of the clinical trial, they want to see if first lot of chemo has had any effect) it doesn't appear to have gone down noticeably,but it hasn't gotten any bigger either. The doc had a look at a lump that had popped up on the weekend , nothing to be seen apart from a blood vessel right underneath where the lump was, very mysterious! Best part of the day though had to be when sitting in the breast clinic and the voice come over the tannoy paging hot reg and Dr Harry Krishna! I was told that hot reg is code for the on call registrar, but I really , really hope that there is a doc called Harry Krishna, it would be like an early Christmas present for me!
