Chemo today and a cyclone coming!

A cyclone is predicted to make landfall between Mackay and Double Day which makes us in the middle or is this a metaphor for my last chemo!

Yikes I hope it tracks further south. Supposed to hit this afternoon so i hope we get home in time. Its a cat 1 so not too bad, i live in a solid house and can watch it coming from my bedroom window.

My last treatment yay! I hope my temperature  behaves itself I am having a neulasta shot tomorrow  i may be forced to do this myself if we can't  leave the house!

  • I gave myself all of these injections. I looked it up on you tube every time as my memory was so hopeless. It was scary but very easy and not at all painful. Good luck with the storm and injection.

  • You will always remember the challenge of your last chemo, for so many reasons! Hope that the weather is not too bad for you. We are on the sunshine coast and it is very windy but not too much rain yet! We have family in Central Queensland too so we will all be hoping that it does not get too wild up there. Fingers crossed. Have a Plan B for your Nuelasta just in case so you don't have to worry too much, chemo is enough to cope with by itself! I gave myself the needle 3 times and it helped to have really good instructions because you get pretty nervous about it. I had a DVD that they gave me at the place I had my chemo. That was really helpful. Best of luck with chemo, the weather and the Nuelasta! Yay that this will be the last one! Take care. Deanne xxx
