Chemo to commence
Hi all
Hope all is well with everyone or as good as it can be. Just letting you know that I start my chemo on Wednesday 6th April. I will spend the night in hospital on Tuesday after having surgery for the portacath insertion. My cupboards are stocked with food that might be easy to eat/appealing on the taste. I have tried on my wig which now fits easily over my now very short haircut. (am having it clipped once it starts to fall). Also have been trying out my headgear. I am having reflexology and acupuncture tomorrow in the hope that it will level out my body and keep the nausea away. It is good to be home but I miss my little grandchildren dreadfully. All three of us in the household are now "broken". Our poor old dog has spent two nights at the dog hospital since we came home. We have brought him home on cortisone and antibiotics to live out his days. He is 12 years old and a big German Shepherd so an operation to remove his huge cancer on the spleen is out of the question. I hope he can live long enough so we can both keep each other company during my chemo time. Very sad to see our "old mate" looking sad and inactive. $$$$$$$ flying out our doors at the moment but it is only paper. I will keep you up to date with my progress - if you are interested. XLeonie
