Chemo looming
Anybody out there?
I will be starting chemo on 5th feb and just like to chat to anybody about their experience. Will be on 3 FEC and 3 docetaxel on 3 weekly cycles.

My regime is similar to yours. Feel free to read my blog for more info. My oncologist suggested a portacath and I had it inserted a week before my first chemo session which was last Wednesday. I had some pain after insertion, but was given Endone which certainly helped. Accessing the port for chemo was easy and virtually painless - just a very slight sting - only momentary. I was given Emla Cream to apply an hour before chemo. Definitely think it was the right decision for me. Some wonderful advice from the other pink ladies. Feel free to message any time. Take care.
