Chemo here I go!

@kezmusc Totally agree, I find it an utter mystery. My onologist said we'll test your blood before each round of chemo and only give Neulasta to you if you need it. I never did. As far as I was concerned the fewer chemicals going into my body at that time the better. I had enough bone ache as it was without adding to it.

How weird about the link. I read it before attaching.  But yes soeak with your chemist @Nadi as I believe people have excellent results.

One thing I don't understand is why everybody is prescribed Neulasta without knowing if they even need it or not.  I had my first AC and there was a locum oncologist on that day and he said we'll see how you go without it first.  Went back for a blood test the next week and fine. WCC recovered no problem.

2nd round my regular doctor was back and said I needed to take the injection.  I did.  That night I ended up in emergency.  I couldn't walk from the bone pain.  I felt sick and shaky plus it had turned my whole breast and under arm bright purple.  Scared the heck out me. That's and interesting photo to say the least.

The consultant that was at the hospital that night ran the bloods and my WCC  was at 116.  She said it was no wonder I felt like I did and that I obviously did not need that injection. Onc tried to give it to me again the next round but I refused.  I never took it again and was fine the whole way through Wcc recovered well every time.  

@Sister last year I saw a plastic surgeon regarding an unrelated scar , he told me to massage  it with sorbalene as hard as you can regularly . I brought one that had vitamins e in it as well , seemed to do the trick , pretty damm smooth !

I had a good run with the bio oil, but I have found one better.  "Secret Womens Oil"  Its hemp, almond oil and something else, cant remember.  I still get that weird skin rash that I got with Paclitaxel pop up now and again for no particular reason and it helps with that as well and seems to be helping soften the skin from radiation.  It's about $25 from The good oil company on line.

@primek That link no longer works.  I have been going to ask if anyone has used or knows about the product that is currently being advertised a lot - I think it's Stratamed and there's another one called Strataderm?  I've been massaging my mastectomy scar with Bio Oil as advised but wondering if there's something better to soften the scar.

@Nadi Have you looked at silicone tape?.  I know my local chemist could order in for me. My scar feels very firm. It looks great just firm to touch.

I had Akynzeo. Seemed to work pretty well with TC.

Did the oncologist say why he wants to speed up your schedule? How interesting. Heaven to think you can get through chemo quicker than anticipated.

That's unbelievable, @Zoffiel. While I'm sure it does take expertise given it's going into a major vein, you'd think that it would be more available. I have a live/ hate relationship with mine - I can't stand the bloody thing but would much rather have it than have my veins attacked each time.
