Chemo finished!

Last Chemo done - Check

Hair growning back - Check

Mood swings gone - Check

Taste back - Check

Yahoo last of the chemo well and truely done. I hope I never have to do that EVER again but I'm glad it's available. The love hate relationship has ended and I'm ready for the next step. All booked in for Radium. It's amazing how while you're getting it done it never feels likes it's going to be finished. That has to be the hardest thing I have ever done in my life so far and I've got to say I'm proud of everyone who has or is going through it. You are AMAZING!!!!! And to those about to go through it. It will end and you WILL be fine. Love you all, am feeling amazing!!!!:)

  • Good on you Holly - very proud of you.  It gets a bit like "Bring it on!!!" doesn't it.  The sooner it starts the sooner it is finished.  I start my radiation on 14th Feb (25-28 sessions)  Last time I think it was 35 so this time it will be a breeze!!!!  I used to lie on the radiation table and count - the first session of course was the marker.  Each time I got to the number I knew I was done then I would cross that one off.  Have never had chemo before so this time will be all new territory.  I will have chemo AFTER my radiation cause I'm a bit different!!!!!  I love reading everyone's account of their experience so I have something to gauge mine on.  Chemo sounds easy because of the number of sessions - 6 but I won't kid myself  Good luck with your radiation - take good care of the area and get plenty of rest.  CheersXLeonie
