Well it's finished! I did it!!!I had my last Taxel today and boy it felt good. No more PICC as well. My oncologist was away so the nurses were reluctant to at first take it out :( But the ...
Hi Alison, congratulations on finishing chemo. Now radiotherapy later in January, plus ongoing herceptin until October.
My advice is.. just take it easy for 6 to 12 months ...pace yourself and see how you go. You have not finished everything yet and may get some delayed reactions to additional treatments. I did find my veins weaker after chemotherapy, and with vasodilation from the " flushing " and early menopause.. and I did try to be as strong as I used to be.. I think I did a bit much too soon..etc. In hindsight I would have gone more gently.
That said you seem the sort to want to get back to " normal " again, as soon as possible. he he.. Well just TC.. ok.... early days yet.
