@twiggyjumps not quite the same as you.
I am having chemo before mastectomy but not radiation until after.
The Oncologist said it has the advantage of seeing how the chemo worked when the pathology comes back after surgery.
Apparently they should be able to see dead cancer cells?
And any live ones too if it hasn't worked, I am guessing.
I have already had a lumpectomy in January with no clear margins, so they know there are still cancer cells there, and one sentinel node came back positive. I am having a Lymphnode clearance as well with mastectomy, they should be able to see if any other nodes were affected in the pathology.
Regarding food, I am seeing a dietitian and have been trying to eat healthy through chemo but with the metallic taste, sore mouth and nausea they both create I am struggling to find anything that doesn't make me feel sicker after eating, or upset an already damaged digestive tract.
But what I can eat is hot chips, jelly, porridge, scrambled eggs, cheese and tomato on crackers.
If you can eat it and it gets you through the day, go for it.
Chemo is hard enough as it is.
Lite and Easy is expensive but if it helps, then great. At least it is healthy, and easy.
