Chemo cancelled

Hi everyone,
Unfortunately I am in hospital for three days after developing cellulitis which means delaying the start of my chemo tomorrow for another week!
  • The relief under the arm has been fantastic! Having probs with cannulas now though! Have had veins collapsing because of the strong antibiotics and of course adding to the problem, they can only use one arm! Thank god Im
having a portacath inserted for my chemo! x
  • Ouch @duxx1234, that's a decent amount of fluid. No wonder you feel more comfortable. I'm sure the IVAB's are helping too. Fingers crossed for Wednesday. Keep us abreast (scuse the pun) of what's happening. Xx
  • Thanks so much@Mollygirl  Yes, I was initially disappointed but needed to get it under control. I had 70ml of fluid drained off my underarm yesterday and it feels soooo much better! Having daily Physiotherapy so I’ll be good to go next Wednesday! Thanks for your thoughts!x
  • Oh damn, @duxx1234, what a pain. But it's important you are well and ready before treatment starts. I was ready to rock two weeks post op but had to delay a week or so to have some lesions excised ( had melanoma a couple of years ago). I remember feeling anxious to get going. But really a few weeks is nothing in the scheme of things. Just does nothing for the anxiety levels. Hang in there!!! Bec xx
  • Bugger. Who would ever have thought we'd get stressed about not being poisoned. Hang in there, this stuff can be very frustrating. Marg. Xx
  • Hi @duxx1234, hope they get it sorted for you very soon. Xx
  • @duxx1234
best to get the cellulitis sorted first....
I know it will be frustrating but we often have hiccups that delay chemo.

  • @duxx1234, that is not good that you've landed in hospital. Hoping you're better soon.
