Chemo begins.
I have been so slack updating!
Fast forward to today and I had round one of 6 chemo's last Tuesday. The process of the chemo was not so bad. I was shocked at the size of the local cancer care centre. We live in a rural area and have to travel about 60 km for treatment. When I arrived there was one patient plus me. When I left the place was full. Shocking and scary.
My week after chemo has been quite good. No vomiting thank god! A little nausea and LOTS of tiredness! It is over whelming how much sleep I did.
Today we had a follow up with the oncologist and he was happy with the meds he has prescribed for managing the side effects.
I also met with the radiation oncologist who will commence treatment once the chemo is finished. If all goes to plan I should be treatment free 4 days before christmas. YAY
Emotionally, mentally and physically strong.
