Chemo #2 FEC
Well after having a couple of good weeks in the lead up to cycle 2, things went a little pear shaped. I felt like I was getting a cold over the weekend and was extremely tired on Sunday night, by the ...
Hi Kelly
When we live with this disease we tend to forget that we have a body that gets ordinary problems as well and not just those related to breast cancer.
Mine was that I woke up one night absolutely freezing, teeth chattering etc. and immediately thought treatment induced toxicity or infection. But I didn't feel sick at all. Took a while to realise that I had gone to sleep with the window wide open, the cold change had swept in and I was just good old-fashioned chilled to the bone.
I found FEC harder than Taxotere, hope you have a much better experience. I shaved my hair off before starting chemo because this was one way I could stay in control. Didn't have any itchy attacks, in fact it started to grow back under FEC and then when it was a few millimetres long fell out during Taxotere. When it started to grow again I was looking forward to having curly hair, but it grew back exactly as it grew before. We're all different!
With love
