Chemo 2 and cold sores

Yep I'm prone to ulcers and cold sores so have been waiting for them to hit whilst having Chemo...... well ulcers havent arrived but a coldsore appeared after chemo No 2 i just use a teatree cream and it cleared up pretty quickly thank goodness. yes the sun does activate them so a lip balm is a must!!

Hi Robyn Yep and they look yucky! Just don't want it to spread while I am a bit down on immunity! All in all I have been very lucky. I usually keep my lips moisturised with lip balm ( bee) so this is the first problem I've had. I think yesterday's sun might have set it off! Damn! Julie

I didn't have cold sores,but I did have really sore lips,all cracked with little sores on them .I just looked back on my blog,and it was day 7 past my first chemo.However,cold sores are different altogether.I am guessing it will be hard to clear it up until your week 3.Its the little things that are annoying aren't they? I hope someone else can give u some help.xoxoCheers Robyn.
