CHEMO - OVER
Well, all my pink ladies - my chemo is now done and dusted - and oh boy what a rollercoaster of feelings and emotions..........I am so thankful that I only had four sessions to endure - mentally I found it hard to get through - not to mention physically - my counsellor (I've only had one session with her) has helped and I will continue with her to get through my next stage of treatment.....I had THE phone call this afternoon about my radiation treatment - first prelim appointment Friday week (14th Dec) then start on 8th Jan 2013..thankfully a break over Xmas/New Year...25 sessions every day for 5 weeks....Don't know the logistics of it yet - how I'm going to drive there every day - probably by myself - a round trip of about 2 hour round trip(without treatment time)/bus to a shopping centre then bus it to the hospital..(as my oncologist suggested) ..Is there somewhere I can find out if someone esle is travelling to the Royal Brisbane Hospital for daily treatment like this to share travel and parking expenses??????
