Hi Jane, it was my first colonoscopy too. The worst bit was drinking the 2litres of the horrible salty preparation stuff to clean you out.I found eating mouthfuls of jelly between glassfuls got it down.The actual procedure was easy- you drift off to sleep- aliens probe you and you wake up feeling fine- no sore bum or anything.I see my Gastro dr in a few weeks to get full report and plan.Hope it goes ok for you and try not to worry- it's just fear of the unknown.
