check up tomorrow

i am going to see my oncologist tomorrow. I never like being in his office but it makes me think of how far i have come and how strong i have grown. He is still going to be angry that i was not brave enough for a blood test but it will be nice to still get the all clear.

I wish all my friends who are at the start of their treatment all the very best and hang in there with a smile it does not last long. xx

  • Hi Chris and Leonie,

Yes things went ok. My oncologist has seen some of the articles of mine in the paper and he suggested i slow down a little but he does not understand the feeling i get from being involved with bcna and dragons abreast. I would not change it for the world.

He refuses to send me for any more scans which really bothers me. I am thinking of giving him a call and really asking for them because 6 months is a long time in the cancer world and i would hate to miss something because he thinks i am all good.

As for the irregular periods and the stomach cramps he said that it would be related to the tamoxifen and chemo and my body just getting used to everything again.

The headaches... tension. They would probably be gone if he'd just send me for some scans so i could put my mind to ease.

I am off to the skin cancer clinic on Monday and my plastic surgeon on Tuesday.

I got a sense of achievement sitting in his office. I have fought this cancer alone. I have had minimal support  which does not bother me its made me stronger. I just hope that it never returns because i don't want to do it again. EVER.

Thankyou so much for your concern it is so nice to have people who understand.

    Lots of love, Danielle xx
