- lrb_03MemberHi @wallis3036, what antibiotics have you been on?
Have you looked on the ALA website? This link may be informative for you

If your doctor has been following the guidelines, it may be worth thinking about seeing either an infectious diseases specialist, or a visit to your oncologist to talk about it. There is a medical oncologist in WA involved in lymphoedema research, but not sure if he has a clinical practice, I think his name is Dr Andres Redfern, but not sure where he works
Have you been unwell with it?
I hope you get it resolved soon - AfraserMemberThat needs some review I think. I’ve had lymphoedema for years, only one bout of cellulitis to date (thanks manicure!). My entire arm turned bright red. It had actually started to subside by the time I got to my doctor (hooray, my immune system still works) but it was completely resolved in a week on antibiotics. Perhaps a check back?
- Brenda5MemberPerhaps you need different antibiotics if there isn't much improvement? Sounds like a stubborn one.
- wallis3036MemberI had surgery, axillary clearance, chemo & radiation 2013. I have my first taste of cellulitis in my hand & lymphedema. What I want to know are there any GP’s or specialists in Perth WA area as I am on my 5th week of antibiotics with not much improvement to show for it. I have a great lymphedema physio but think there must be something else out there to help resolve cellulitis!
