I've been on medicinal cannabis oil for 3 years now, tho I had a big break over the last 6 months, but am back on it again now. Luckily, it never gave me the trots or any real side effects - tho it definitely reduced the pain & more recently (with some THC as well) helped with my sleep patterns.
Straight CBD oil should NOT give a positive roadside test. The test is only for the THC component of Cannabis Oil - which is the 'psychotic' component. It usually needs to be heated to activate the 'psycho' ingredients (ie smoked) and some oils are cold pressed ....
My Onc has given me a letter (that I keep with me in the car) saying that I am on the Medicinal Cannabis Oil for side effects of Breast Cancer treatment. I would hope that if I got a roadside positive - that it would go towards me not losing my licence.
Sadly, it is still demonised in Australia & the cost of getting access to it (legally or under the table) will be out of reach of many people ..... which is ridiculous, given the addictions & deaths attributed to synthetic opioids ..... whereas no-one has died from medicinal cannabis oil ....
One day, hopefully, it will be decriminalised and will be more cost effective .... one scientist's study on cannabis oil's effect on BC cells ....
