Well it's the night before ..... Well I wish it was Xmas but no it's only the night before my surgeons appt... I should get the date for my double mastectomy and recon - and as much as I want it over ...

Hope everything goes well with your appointment, I can understand you having mixed emotions, it's a trying time. My partner went into protective mode as well. With smaller problems, women always like to talk it out and men like to just solve the problem and move on, of course with breast cancer, they can't solve it so that must make them feel more helpless. I think the honest approach with your son was a good idea, hopefully he will settle soon when you have a clearer idea of where you are headed, best wishes to you,
