January 18th. Well it has been done. Godbye to my leftie! On January 9th I had the surgery. Dr. Nicoel Yap was briliant. I have had MRIs Biopsys, more ultrasounds and mammograms that I am a walking pincushion. Nothing hurt, just discomfort. I made the mistake of going to the dentist on the Monday prior to surgery and had a filling and when the injection wore off, boy, did that hurt. Me , a bag of frozen peas, sofa, moaning. Hospital was fun because I could relax and finally catch up on eating and sleeping, something I really couldn't do well before the operation. I realsie now how anxious and uptight I was. Ringwood Private was also brilliant. I think I was the youngest patient by decades and I had my facilities!!! I was lucky to be able to get out of bed and go to the toilet. My children (10 & 12) were horrified that the nurse came with me but then I explained the alernative...bedpans!
Lymph node clear so just waiting on full pathology results on the breast tissue. I received the BCN Journey kit a couple of days ago. Brilliant! Wish I had it prior to surgery. It has beome my bible. Then yesterday my bra! WOW! Really feeling positive. Sorry I didn't blog but I forgot my password. Funny that, there was somehting else on my mind!
