Breast Cancer at 31

Hi Bec, I'm so sorry to hear of all the trouble that you are going through. It really is a tough road that only your close family and friends truly understand. I was on tamoxifen for 3 years and I will have to go back onto it when I finish having babies. I did have trouble falling pregnant, but as it turned out it wasn't because of anything to do with the cancer or treatment but rather my fertility specialist found problems with hubby's sperm. Before chemo I underwent ivf where they were able to fertilise and freeze 6 embryos. Unfortunately they didn't take when they were transferred back. I also had 3 more fresh cycles of ivf before I had a pregnancy that suck around for longer than 8 weeks. But as I said it ended up not being because of the cancer. I would talk to your oncologist about the chance of you shortening the time on tamoxifen and I don't think it would hurt to see a fertility specialist just to get their opinion. Good luck!!
