Hi Bec, it was stage three - I was in the shower and felt a sharp pain in my boob. I thought it odd so went to Drs to get it checked out. Dr gave me lecture about not regularly checking my boobs and said it was probably just part of my normal cycle. She somewhat begrudgingly (well it seemed that way to me) gave me a referral for a scan & biopsy if needed.
As I was busy at the time and she didn't seem to bothered it was 3 weeks before I rang to make an appt and another 3 weeks before they could fit me in! It turned out that I had DCIS and it had burst out which is what I think I felt in the shower.
I was lucky though as it hadn't spread to my lymphatic system - so I didn't need chemo or radiation. I had a mastectomy.
I put the whole episode down to getting stuck in a toxic marriage for too long. I took it as the Universes way of telling me to wake up - the irony of course was that I'd just left my ex - the Universe I've learnt isn't great with timing.
The Drs are very good, but I would encourage you to really ask what the absolute improvement is - not just a percentage change because then you will be able to make an informed decision.
Take care Bec, love and light
