Breast cancer at 31 wks pregnant

I am writing to try to find some help and support for my cousin who just moved to Canberra with her husband and 2 year old son.  She is 31 wks pregnant and was diag.  with Breast Cancer yeasterday.    All of her family is in British Columbia, Canada except for myself and I am in Montana, USA.  We dont know what to do to help her.  Having just moved to a new city they dont really know anyone or anything about the medical care available.  We are both nurses and are not use to being in need of other peoples help.  I am very concerned for her and was hoping there were some resources available locally that I could put her in touch with to help her out.  Myself and the rest of her family are trying to make arrangements for travel  but could really use some help and suggestions of  thing we could do to help.   They are talking about taking her baby early so she can have surgery and treatment.  Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.  Thanks so much.

    There is a support group for women diagnosed with breast cancer during pregnancy called Lumps and Bumps - your cousin may like to check it out here.

    Thank you to everyone who responed.  I will talk to my cousin tonight and see if she would be interested in talking to anyone.  I cant thank you enough for all your kind words and support.  I'll be intouch soon.

    I also live in Canberra and don't have much to add beyond what the other ladies have posted.  I would also be happy to be contacted and perhaps I can help, if needs be, with advice on navigating through our public or private health systems.  I've been using both.  Or if she just wants to chat, my situation is not so similar though, my first diagnosis in January this year was stage iv with mets to the bones. So its been chemo for me, the last one today :)

    I live in Canberra so if your cousin wanted to get in contact send me a message and I'll give you my contact details.  I would be more than happy for her to talk to me.  I don't know how much help I will be but I underwent a mastectomy in December and radiotherapy earlier this year.  I am currently on hormone treatment. 

    Bosom Buddies is a local organisation here who are very helpful so it would also be good to make contact with them.
