Hi Leonie, you are in chemo, you have every right to feel a bit sad and sorry for yourself. Try and be open and honest letting family and friends know if it's not a good day or you need help, you might be really surprised. Some people don't know how to "be" around us and I think you've probably hit the nail on the head when you suggest the word "fear". I was very open and honest with everyone if it wasn't a good day; it even got me out of a speeding ticket, but that's a hilarious story for another time!

I see you are having Cyclophosphamide. I had this drug too and coped very well with it so hopefully it will also be kind to you. Each treatment you have is one treatment less and as you now know there are so many in the same situation, we are certainly not alone. Keep your chin up, eat some chocolate!

Kath,  You are so amazing.  I feel so small.  This is just day 2 after my first chemo and I feel pretty sorry for my situation.  I am mostly Positive but this chemo is something else.  I will not even think of being sad after what you have gone through and are still enduring.  Your family is so blessed to have you in it.  I have a great family but they are not as open as yours appears - fear is the word that comes to mind.  This is also my second time in four years - same breast with a recurrence in a lymph node.  They say it is curable so onwards and upwards.  I am hoping it is the drugs "pulling me down" into a ditch as I like to be happy and comical most of the time.  Thank you for sharing your journey, girl, it has given me some "add ons". I like your way of thinking Kath. Yes I found that I just dozed the first few nights after chemo & didn't stress about it. Well wish me luck my second lot of chemo is tomorrow & thanks again, you have been a great inspiration to me.

Hi Loretta

Thank you for your lovely post and I am so glad you enjoyed my video clip.   I read your blog and see you're having chemo.   On days I felt lousy, I told myself they were actually really good days because it was the chemo fighting it's hardest for me. If I couldn't sleep, I didn't, I would just rest/doze/read.   Each night when I got into bed, I would smile and say out loud "that's one day closer to feeling better".   I wish you all the best Loretta.

Just like you to find the positive side of it all, but it must be affecting you all the same. Take it very easy & concentrate on fighting those little blighters.
