It definately pays to do as much research as possible, trust me.... I have been contemplating doing my mastectomy for a year now and I think I finally feel ready to make the decision.
For me having the BRACA test is what I struggle with, because even if the test comes back negative I still don't know and will never know if i carry the gene my mother carried when she died of Breast Cancer.
At the end of the day the more you look into it the more knowledgeable you become. I found comfort in by genetics clinic in Liverpool, my Dr has been with me every step of the way and has supported every decision I make because it will never be wrong.
