bone scan

thought i was on the mend after getting cyst and tooth removed 2 weeks ago. went for a routine bone scan today and ended up in there for 2hours has made me a bit nervous about results. last time i only had the up and down scan this time i had the round and round as well. radiography person kept saying i just need one more over and over. any way will see my oncologist on tuesday so i wont be able to make morning tea. very had to organise when you dont know what you will be doing from week to week. best wishes to you all jenny

  • so to hear about your problems . it seems its always one thing or another it goes with having breast cancer i suppose i wonder if you get less anxious as time goes by. i know i get worried if i think the people doing tests are hiding something from me i worry more about the what ifs than i do when i know whats going on. i suppose i feel more in control when i know the go. hope all goes well  best wishes jenny

  • Well that does sound very scary indeed!! Had my own stress this week too. I have a history of DVT (blood clot) so when I started having pain in my leg I knew wasn't going to be good news. Took myself off to GP then had ultrasound, admitted to hospital that day, just got out yesterday. So now not only do I have to deal with chemo, hairloss, etc...have to inject myself twice a day with blood thinning medication (clexane!) and when I have chemo as my neutrophil count was low I have to have another injection! Also having a porta cath inserted as have diabetes hich is causing havoc with chemo. Very scary, as if having cancer isn't scary enough!! HOPE to make meet up on Tuesday, will have to wait and see how I feel after operation.......Ongoing saga of breast caancer huh......
