Bone Density

HI. Is there a group for BRCA1 or genetic Breast Cancer? A friend who had Preventative surgeries 5 years ago, including both a double mastectomy and Ovaries/tubes removed, has just found out that she has the bones of an 85 year old. She too is in her early 40s. She, like me, has been advised by her oncologist to not have oestrogen supplements. She was naturally shocked to find how quickly her bone density has deteriorated. I had my ovaries removed 2 and a half years ago and have not had anyone suggest a bone density test. I broke my wrist last December. That, along with my friend's extreme osteoporosis diagnosis I'm off to the GP ASAP. I'm amazed that my GP didn't suggest it when I broke my wrist, knowing my full history. Anyhoooooo...I think this is important info for women in a similar situation to me to be aware of. If anyone has anything else to offer on this topic I'd love to hear from you. X
