Blood tests post treatment
Hi there again lovelies just wondering if any one is the same, I saw my oncol in feb and am due to see him again end of this month and he said at our last consult he didn't need me to do the three mon...
I had a generic type blood test last visit--liver, white cells etc--but haven't had any tumour markers done at all during treatment. They are not helpful in my circumstances and, as he says, 'They make everybody crazy' As for the rest, once you pass the 12 month point, there isn't anything to look for unless you are feeling unwell.
You are a smart chickie, if you think something needs checking get your GP to write up a referral and get the results sent through to him. If anything needs attention they will follow it up.
