Blood Tests before FEC

Good luck with your second chemo Ann-Marie.You know the drill now so it's slightly less scary.As I went through all the various treatments I found it hard to predict how I would react.Sometimes I'd surprise myself and be really brave and calm.I had a major melt down just after I signed the chemo consent form- go figure! It's like walking through an emotional minefield.As far as the wig goes- don't get me started!! I had a cotton cap underneath but it still drove me nuts.When your hair first falls out the scalp is very sensitive.I ended up with an irritating rash.I found cetaphil wash to be good on my scalp and then moisturise with something like sorbolene. I tried to stick with cotton "things"on my head.I could only wear my wig for a few hours at a time so only wore it on special outings.There is a good website in usa that sells great head gear www.headcovers.org -very cheap and delivered to your door.I bought caps and bandanas.It takes ages for your hair to come in.I got quite depressed about it at one point.You don't realise how much you need your hair until it's gone.Well I bet I've cheered you up no end! Hi Ann-Marie - are you wearing the wig cap underneath?  I have only worn my wig 3 times but I wear the cap. I don't get too itchy so far but find I get a hell of a headache wearing it.  I prefer my little hats and beanies.

Not that I know of.The only common tests you have to fast for are blood sugars and colesterol.Can you ring before you have breakfast?
