- Ret65MemberYou can get them at the chemist. They are just wheat in a material bag which you can heat up in the microwave for a couple of minutes. I've used them previously for relief of sore muscles, but they are good for helping to find veins as well!
- Julia44MemberHi, I have never heard of them?

- Ret65MemberHi Natasha I hate needles now too after having so many blood tests and chemo. One thing I have found that helps to find my veins is to warm my arm beforehand using a warm wheat bag. I wrap it around my arm on the way to treatment and when I get there the doctor finds my vein without too much digging around which is a relief. Hope you get out of hospital soon. Loreto

Your post made me smile, I am so scared of needles now and I am glad its not just me.
When I was going through chemo and all my surgeries etc it was just awful, I felt like they were digging into me.
My last surgery they had to put the needles in my feet! I am ok with blood tests as they use fine needles and its over fairly quickly.
I hate going for my 6 monthly CT scan as I know its going to be an issue.
Prior to getting cancer I was fine with needles, but not any more. Like you before I am having tests etc I drink loads to try andhydrate myself.
Good luck with the fever I hope you are home soon.
