My story is quite similar in that I also have no family history, cancer is stage 3 and after my mastectomy my chemo starts next Wednesday. Now that the dust has settled a bit and I have a little more knowledge, I have come to realise that breast cancer is a Very treatable disease.
In life I have often followed advice I received many years ago... I don't recall who said this to me, but somehow it stuck. It went like this: How do you eat an elephant?....Mouthful by mouthful! My best friend, who started her bc journey 4 1/2 yrs ago loved this and quoted it many times. Now that it is my turn I approach this in the same manner. I know we can do this!!!
Remember that sooo many have good outcomes.
