Thank you too Julia and I discovered my PT myself not even doing a check just the way I touched my breast in the shower and there it was North, South, East and West! I was at the Wesley Hospital half an hour after my appt with my GP and had Mammo, Ultrasound and Core Biopsy which revealed the nasty PT.
I do think that there is a lot of money to be made out of us if they do lumpectomy, follow up with WLE, then Mastectomy and then you had other surgery as well. Perhaps they think that by removing the lump the patient will feel relieved that it is out because you are of course but to have to have further surgery within a few weeks and all the follow ups this entails there is good money in this staging of procedures. My op cost $3000 and if I have a double Mastectomy it will be approx $6000 so its a financial roller coaster as well.
Thanks for wishes that I might make it into the 70% and since I have had many serious medical conditions and come through I expect to come through this one too. You cant kill weeds LOL!!!!
