So sorry that you are finding yourself in this situation but you have come to the right place for support. The speed that everything happens at the beginning is good in that we all want the cancer gone as quickly as possible, but it does not give us time to adjust to the shock.
I found that it was not until I started chemo that my mind caught up with what was happening. You probably will feel tired when the steriods wear off, most people do. I had 3 rounds of FEC chemo at 3 weekly intervals. By about day 5 or 6 I would start to return to normal and always felt good before the next dose. I then had 3 lots of Docetaxel which was different and did not agree with my body at all, but some people find it better than FEC.
If you find you are having any trouble with side effects just ask on here and you will probably find lots of helpful advice on what others have done to get through. Doctors and nurses are great but unless they have been through this themselves they cannot really understand. Even then we are all different so the more people you talk with the more likely you are to find common ground.
Wishing you all the best. Take care and rest up when you need to. Deanne xxx
