Been to 1st genetic testing appointment

Had genetic testing appointment yesterday. Doctor and counsellor were lovely - explained everything in terms I could understand and answered all my questions. Go back again next Monday to actually have the blood test done. Great when the doctor greets you with "I think you are going to be an interesting case, given your own and family history" - but she did explain why she said this (and not the first time I heard it so all good). Current testing will be for PTEN gene mutation - possibly Cowden's Syndrome. Have to wait 8 to 12 weeks to get test results back. So more waiting - so used to this.
