glad to be of service dot lol, and yes there is lots of women on here at different stages of treatment, so even if you want to bawl, shout, or have a good old laugh then this is the place to come, there is one good thing to come out of bc, we have all made new pals on here.  And the good thing about going bald, and then mine grew in curly, i never combed or brushed my hair for about a year lol... great.  Keep in touch and let us know how you are going with your journey. no not finished just starting out. second treatment is tomorrow.  my hair started falling out after 5 days, so we shaved it straight away.

Last few nights it has been so hot and muggy, so for the first time I was so greatfull for being bald, as my head was nice and cool while everyone else was sweating and had sticky heads.

My boy told everyone at daycare that he got to shave it, he thought it was so awsome!

Hi Samantha Yes I just booked in at the local hairdresser who works from home for my shave...6/12/2010 is "B" day..it made me teary just booking the appointment...oh well I thought the day was perfect because its 2 weeks from my first treatment and I am booked also on that day to go to the look good feel good program...so at least I will feel at home and can make good use of the tips...So will get a pic up then and join all of you stunners xoxoxo

Ha ha Lee that would look funny.  My eldest was 4 at the time too, but didnt want a thing to do with my wig!!!  Maybe that I called it my "rat" may have had something to do with that!!!!

A funny I remember was a salesman coming to the door, I actually had my wig on at the time and as he approached the door, I took it off and threw it at my husband much to his bewilderment!!!

He asked had I participated in Shave for a cure, and I commented that I had cancer!!  A pretty mean thing to do in hindsight, but they shouldn't arrived unannounced to sell stuff!!!!

I was only talking with someone yesterday and commenting on how "liberating" being bald was at times! I remember the feeling of being free having a shower and just loving the feel....weird huh?

Its one of the few things I found with the whole Breast Cancer journey that I could control....i got IT before IT could get ME!

Awwwwwwww Sammie, you are a star too.  Out of all the bald women I have seen, you were the most glam ever.  I do remember seeing photos of you before we even met and thought how gorgeous you were...  xxx
